So we only have 18 weeks left until we leave… Blimey!
We’re all hoping to get out this weekend on the road bikes for the first time in months. It’s going to hurt but it has to be done. I’m aiming to do 50 miles at least so it’ll be an early start, and a late finish too.
On Sunday I’m going to do a bit of off-roading again… that’s going to hurt too, but that’s because I’m going out on Saturday night for Nick's birthday (one of our kind sponsors - Hendy Curzon) and will probably be hanging... Well I say probably but it's actually a certainty.
The route is now finalised, the Campsites, B&B’s and Travelodge’s are booked and the cost has been kept below £900. Not bad for 5 people for 14 nights… £12.86 per person per night to save you doing the maths!

(You can also check out the full route details on the “Route” page.)
I've seperated the mileage in each country because the owner of The Highlander bar in San Antonio, Ibiza has agreed to give us 1 euro for every mile we cycle in Scotland.... Thanks Jo. Thanks to Tracey too for offering to do a collection in the bar whilst we are on route.
Now we can concentrate on raising some more money… I know that Wayne’s got some corporate sponsorship. If you want to be a corporate sponsor let me know soon as I’ll need to start to organise cycling jerseys and tee shirts to be printed.
Talking of raising funds, The Windrush are holding a “Curry & Pig Race Night” (http://www.windrushinn.com) it’s a great night and should raise a bit of cash towards our target of £10,000. Tickets are £10 and drinking & gambling is essential. Come along but you might have to book early to avoid disappointment.
Come back soon to www.5blokes-end2end.weebly.com and please donate as much as you can at www.justgiving.com/5blokes-end2end
All the best,
Nathan
