We left the pub late, 11:30ish I think and headed back to the campsite. Clearly we are not seasoned campers and we were in fits of laughter as each and every one of us tripped over each-others guy ropes. Well we thought it was hilarious, but it was late into the night by then.
We woke to a blue sky dotted with few clouds… Perfect. In fact it stayed perfect all day and for the first time on our whole trip we had no rain. So of course we all got sunburnt! Well, Wayne did at least, Jezzer just went brown as you can see from the glove mark on his hand:
We also met Simon Thomas at Gretna Green who offered to take our photo. He told us that he had JOGLE’ed last year on his own! He told us that he had JOGLE’ed last year on his own!
We arrived at Sedburgh very tired but were welcomed by Steven, Chris and Paul who very generously chucked money into our pot! Yet again, a big thank you to everyone who has donated.
Big apologies for getting the stats wrong yesterday, I said I was tired! It should have read:
“total figures are: 390.58miles at an average of 9.64 mph… I think!”
Today’s figures are: 78.00 miles in 9 hours and 30 minutes at 8.2 mph. Top speed today was 38.2 mph!
Total figures are: 468.58miles at an average of 9.4 mph. Okay, here’s another stat… 28,761 calories worth! That’s about 95 pints of lager if my calculations right!!!
