Better than snoring I suppose… No, apparently the three of us did that too!
Up for a full English, (sorry if that’s not PC in Scotland) and away… Oh, nearly forgot, there WAS HP sauce, but it was fruity sauce… almost a disaster. Fortunately, I had pilfered 3 sachets from a café earlier in the day… just to keep Alan happy!
With breakfast done, we were about to set off when 2 other guests (Alan and Jen Clarke) gave us £10. A big thank you from us all.
We set off up Glencoe. It’s a climb... 900 feet in about 10 miles in fact and we really felt it. We were about half way up when we all nearly jumped off our bikes as we got buzzed by an RAF jet. Blimey, it was loud!
The climb wound up the glen and the scenery was magnificent… as you can see:
BANG, a blow out. This time it was the back one! It actually split the tyre, it’s a good job I was carrying a spare folding one. So, I changed the inner tube and away we went…
BANG, my new HD camera mount snapped and threw the camera into the road (which was now busy). Fortunately, it bounced onto the verge. I stopped and Jeremy nearly crashed into Wayne!
I went back and picked up the camera. Looked at my rear tyre and realised it was going down. I changed the inner tube again… pumped it up… IT STARTED RAINING!
That’s a day, well last stint to forget!
